Nesting

When my second trimester of pregnancy started, I also realized that I hit what they call the nesting phase. How do I know? It was only two months ago that my beloved hubby and I moved into our new humble abode and from there on, the nesting urge in me has begun.

Once everything got settled, I just loved being at home. I felt that there was no need to leave. I could stay at home for a week and be okay with it. Having said this, I enjoy doing everything at home. I enjoy doing my yoga practice, meditation, breathing, and just being-- all at home! Once in awhile I join a class outside, but mostly I love doing it in my own sacred space. I have been engrossed in cooking, reading, and teaching yoga to fill my days and now my next project is to learn how to knit. It was my very good yogini and yummymummy friend Monica Manzano who gave me this fantastic idea which has really sparked my enthusiasm. I have always wanted to do this but I just never followed through. So now I feel blessed to have stumbled on her tweet last night on knitting (thank you much my dear) to ignite this interest back again. Having said this, I have also started conceptualizing the nursery in my mind. I already know what I want for my little love but nothing has materialized yet since based on my previous experience, it maybe too early. I'm thinking that "project: nursery" will commence most probably around the 8th month of my pregnancy.

As I nest, I find that I do these little house projects with much gusto and really seeing it all the way through.
Cleaning and organizing was the name of my game before getting pregnant; and now it is more enhanced during pregnancy. So this is what my nesting experience is like for me. So who says nesting is a myth?
