And Baby Makes Four

Is my belly obvious in this pic? ;-)

Yes peeps, that is my new baby bump. Again, it's been awhile since my last inspiration to write.

My daughter has already hit her toddler stage at 28 months, and "me-time" has become a little hard to squeeze in since. She literally is the master of time suckage. :-) There are good days.. And then... Sigh, let's put it this way, there are good days.. Ha! Moms out there would understand. Honestly, I am still trying to catch up on sleep. I can't even remember the last time i had a decent, deep sleep. But that is another story..

So going back to my belly, yup that's my 2nd one right there.. 32 weeks (8 months) with about 7 weeks left to go before the big day. Baby will be a summer baby this time.
I am excited and pretty anxious at the same time! .. excited with the addition to our family, but anxious because I am wondering if I am able to manage a feisty yet needy toddler and an upcoming newborn?

I am staying positive that I will be able to wing it when the time comes. But in terms of sleep and some time to myself-- I shall say good bye temporarily to you. Maybe see you in a couple of years?..When the kids are much bigger.. :-)

Not so Au Naturelle-- But Trying!

My husband and I choose to live a natural life. Exercising it may not come easy all the time but we do our best to incorporate a greener, more peaceful and a more organic lifestyle everyday.
Let me share with you an example of what I mean.
When we found out that there was a tiny being growing in my womb, automatically, natural pregnancy, natural birth and natural parenting was the plan. I am happy to say that we had a very natural and easy pregnancy. I followed this up by going through a holistic diet of Ayurvedic and raw (on occasions) foods. Yoga for my physical being, birthing class to boost our education on pregnancy and birth, and meditation and visualization for me and my baby's mental and spiritual health. I would gladly recommend reading Deepak Chopra's " Magical Beginnings, Enchanted Lives and Denise Spatafora's Better Birth books. Reading it cover to cover just inspired me, made me positive and heightened my joy and excitement. All this went so well till the birthing part came. The geek in me together with my husband and doctor had a birth plan that was expected to be followed. Well, that just didn't happen for us. A natural birth planned became a caesarian birth at the last minute.
Now as new parents, the universe had other plans again. Trying to go the natural way was getting a little bit more challenging.. Breastfeeding, the most natural and best way to bond with baby-- became tough and stressful for the both of us. With 3 lactation specialists who couldn't figure out why my baby rejected my breasts (even when I forced her at one point), and all the natural breastfeeding supplements I had to take, it just wasn't going to happen. Not like the lucky moms who have breastfed their children until the age of two years!. But I am contented enough to say that even for just two months, my baby was still able to get some colostrum out of me with the help of a breast shield, fed from small quantities of milk pumped from my breast; and for awhile, a hearty donation of breast milk from a mama so blessed with milk-producing mammary glands!
We now realized, even though the intention was there, maybe it's just not for all of us and that's ok. It doesn't make you a bad parent and it doesn't mean that your child will bond less with you. There are other beautiful ways to encourage bonding. Our baby is a happy one even with formula and that's all that matters to us.
Now, my husband and I try to practice natural parenting as best we can and with an open mind and open heart. With this in mind, we think it best to take bits and pieces of every parenting theory we see fit for our darling child. Or whatever you think is best for your child.
One of the philosophies that totally connected with us right from the start was bits and pieces from the attachment parenting school. Fostering a secure bond through responding with sensitivity, a nurturing touch, safe sleep, consistent loving care and positive discipline just resonated with us.
At 6 months old, here's a small example of how much we just love having our little moonflower close to us at all times and as much as possible:

Here's to a little bit of everything in the natural world! SHANTI OM!

First Everything!

My hubby didn't win the Philippine Open this year, but all in all a good first experience for us three to be featured in the Asian Tour Golf show. And, it certainly is baby Chandra's first appearance on television and she was just a pro!
Here's a preview clip of the show which airs tonight at 8pm on the Balls channel..
Thank you Asian Tour crew!!

Moon Poems and Lullabies

To my baby: singing, humming, reading to you with love..
Child Moon
The child's wonder At the old moon Comes back nightly. She points her finger To the far silent yellow thing Shining through the branches Filtering on the leaves a golden sand, Crying with her little tongue, "See the moon!" And in her bed fading to sleep With babblings of the moon on her little mouth.
- Carl Sandburg
The Moon
Thy beauty haunts me heart and soul, Oh, thou fair Moon, so close and bright; Thy beauty makes me like the child That cries aloud to own thy light: The little child that lifts each arm To press thee to her bosom warm. Though there are birds that sing this night With thy white beams across their throats, Let my deep silence speak for me More than for them their sweetest notes: Who worships thee till music fails, Is greater than thy nightingales.
-William Henry Davies
Tale Of The Sun And Moon
I See The Moon..
I see the moon And the moon sees me, And the moon sees the one that I long to see. So God bless the moon, And God bless me, And God bless the one that I long to see. It seems to me that God above Created you for me to love. I once had a heart, Called mine you see But now it has gone From me to you. So take good care As I have done. For you have two, And I have none. I see the moon, And the moon sees me, And the moon sees the one that I long to see. So God bless the moon, And God bless me, And God bless the one that I long to see.

Coos and Aahs

My darling moon-baby is already 2 months and 2 days old into this world. As I greet my daughter in the morning I am greeted back with smiles and the most adorable cooing and aah-ing that just melts my heart.
As I play with her, I look at her lovingly. I am humbled by this little guru who teaches me, who reminds me, who makes me aware, that we are far richer than we realize. Everyday can be beautiful. All you need is a change in perspective. Thank you for waking up mama with these precious hints my brave little soul. Don't ever stop. You truly are my greatest earthly inspiration. Thank you, I love you!
Photo credits always go to my baby bro Leo! Thanks bub!

Baby Milestones

I know this is as cliche' as it sounds but time does fly by soo fast!

Just last 2011 November 29 my husband and I became proud parents to our beautiful moon- baby girl Chandra Angela L. Que.

Having chosen her name means moon in Sanskrit. The reason being was, I was oddly drawn to the moon during my healthy pregnancy with her. Her second name, Angela, for being the junior to her father's name Angelo.

As I mentioned in one of my older posts when she was still in my belly was that I could never imagine such fierce love for them both! And now it's even intensified especially when she was born!

My two greatest loves indeed!! You both are God's greatest blessing ever given to me in my life! I love you both soo very much!

- Infinite Blessings Beautiful Soul! Hari OM!
