Light stories and heartfelt experiences of anything under the sun, the moon and stars that constantly keep me happy, productive and inspired.

DECEMBER

I am thinking of Christmas wrappers and which color themes I would use to wrap my heartfelt gifts in. With only 18 days to go before lovely Christmas and a week to do my last minute shopping-- I smile. I am finally feeling it now-- that very same enchanted feeling I used to look forward to as a child only on the month of December.
I see Christmas lights everywhere now hung on houses, draped or laced in trees, on buildings, the big Christmas trees in every mall, the Belens, the parols. The spirit has finally sunk in.
The Province is where my heart is in celebrating this wonderful time. I look forward to the flight home and being in the comfort and company of family and friends. I anticipate the cool weather that come in the early evenings. I enjoy the sound of Cathedral bells that lull you to sleep or wake you just nicely in the wee hours of the morning. Best part of it all is the glorious food of the holidays and our version of the Noche Buena. Ours consists of Tableya chocolates whisked in butter, hot pandesal for dipping, honey glazed ham, and assorted cheeses. After our tradition of hearing Mass first, we go home, exchange gifts, gorge, and exchange happy stories all night. I have our Mom to thank. She is the best in making this experience a really "Christmassy" one.
I am excited and I cant wait to go home. I will save this daydream as the best for last in December. A reverie that will turn to reality. But first last minute errands to do, bazaars to attend and a couple of Christmas parties to enjoy here in the city.
